French President Emmanuel Macron stated that France will never take part in operations to unblock the Strait of Hormuz under the current conditions of the conflict.

According to him, France is not a party to the war and therefore will not be involved in such military operations.

"We are not a party to the conflict, and therefore France will never participate in operations to open or free the Strait of Hormuz in the current context," Macron said at a government session dedicated to the situation in the Middle East.

He emphasized, however, that Paris is continuing to work on building a coalition that could ensure freedom of navigation once hostilities have ended.
