Most U.S. NATO allies have declined to participate in the war against Iran. U.S. President Donald Trump announced this on his Truth Social platform.

"The United States has been notified by most of our NATO allies that they do not want to participate in our military operation against the terrorist regime of Iran in the Middle East. This even though virtually all of these countries largely support our actions and acknowledge that Iran must under no circumstances possess nuclear weapons," Trump wrote, adding that he was not surprised by their decision.

"I have always considered NATO, into which we pour hundreds of billions of dollars annually, protecting these countries, to be a one-sided organization — we protect them, and they do nothing for us, especially in moments of need.

Fortunately, we have inflicted serious damage on Iran's armed forces — their navy is destroyed, their air force is destroyed, their air defense and radar systems are destroyed, and, perhaps most importantly, their leaders at virtually all levels have been eliminated, so they will never again pose a threat to us, our allies in the Middle East, or to the world.

Given the tremendous military success we have achieved, we no longer 'need' or desire the help of NATO countries — WE NEVER NEEDED IT! The same applies to Japan, Australia, and South Korea.

As President of the United States of America, unquestionably the most powerful country in the world, I say — WE DO NOT NEED HELP FROM ANYONE!"
