President Donald Trump announced that his planned trip to China this month has been postponed due to the U.S. war with Iran.

"We are rescheduling the meeting, and it looks like it will take place in about five weeks. We are working with China. They have agreed to this," Trump told reporters at the White House, later specifying that the meeting would take place "in five or six weeks."

He noted that he looks forward to meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, adding: "He looks forward to meeting with me too — at least I think so."
