A mother of five in Dilijan was taken in for questioning in front of her children: the youngest began to cry, so he was also taken along with his mother to the Investigative Department. Lawyer Roman Yeritsyan told Novosti Armenii — NEWS.am about this, having previously reported that the mother of many children had been summoned and brought to the Dilijan Investigative Department over a comment about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on social media. The woman is a forced migrant from Artsakh; her brother was killed during the 2020 Karabakh war.

"One of the young children began to cry and had to be taken along as well — he was nearby throughout the entire proceedings. According to preliminary information, criminal proceedings have been initiated on charges of incitement to violence, and it is on this basis that the charges were brought. The woman's phone was seized, and today she was summoned to the investigative body again," the lawyer noted.

When asked what exactly the comment was about, Roman Yeritsyan explained that under a Facebook video related to the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader, she left a comment saying she had been through immense suffering and blamed the current leader of Armenia entirely for her misfortunes, adding that "the same day awaits him" someday.

"When it comes to practically nonexistent crimes, to insulting or targeting a public official, the law enforcement system is ready to react in a flash. But when, for example, people say in their Facebook live streams that the road to Goris should have been blocked so that the mothers and children of Artsakh would be destroyed there and unable to reach Armenia, the Investigative Committee says that is a harsh, offensive expression — but it is freedom of speech," lawyer Roman Yeritsyan stated.
