U.S. intelligence believes that Iran's chain of command remains intact despite the U.S.-Israeli military operation.

"The regime in Iran appears to remain cohesive, though significantly weakened by Operation Epic Fury," reads the opening statement prepared by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard for her appearance at Senate Intelligence Committee hearings on Capitol Hill.

At the same time, Gabbard argued that the Iranian government will face growing internal tensions. "Even as the regime remains cohesive, internal tensions will likely increase as Iran's economic situation deteriorates, according to the intelligence community's assessment," she said.
