The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have been authorized to kill any senior Iranian official without additional approval from Israel's political leadership, Defense Minister Israel Katz said, according to a statement from the ministry's press service.

"The Prime Minister and I have authorized the IDF to eliminate any senior Iranian official for whom the intelligence and operational cycle is complete, without the need for further approval. We will continue to pursue and eliminate them all," the minister said during a front situation assessment.
