The official opening ceremony of the Armenian embassy in Oman took place Wednesday in Muscat, within the framework of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan’s official visit to Oman.

Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi also attended the event, the Armenian foreign ministry informs.

The national flag of Armenia was raised in front of the embassy building, the national anthems of the two countries were played, and after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the opening of the embassy was officially announced.

The Armenian foreign minister introduced the Armenian embassy to his Omani counterpart, and a short conversation was held between the delegations of the two countries.

Heads of a number of diplomatic missions accredited in Oman, and Armenian citizens residing in Oman also participated in the event.
