U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim David Allen visited Gyumri for the first time to get acquainted with the city and meet with local residents.

The U.S. Embassy in Armenia reports that the visit was packed with important meetings. The first stop was the Shirak Regional Patrol Service Battalion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where David Allen emphasized U.S. support for reforms in Armenia's law enforcement system and the shared goal of building safer communities. He then visited TUMO and learned about its programs and initiatives aimed at youth development. He also met with alumni of U.S. government educational exchange programs who continue to apply the knowledge and experience gained through those programs to the benefit of their local communities.

The day concluded with the opening of the "Museum of Founders" exhibition. Organized at the American Corner in Gyumri, the event is part of the "Freedom 250" jubilee celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, and introduces Gyumri residents to the origins, leadership, civic engagement, and enduring values of freedom.
