If I were elected in a mayor elections in Armenia’s Hrazdan city, the city would have turned into a center of civilization, member of oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC), mayor candidate of Hrazan city Sasun Mikaelyan announced during a press conference on Friday.

According to him, if he were elected he would defend human rights and promote law. He and Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan would work well together. It would have been better for the president.

“Serzh Sargsyan and I are comrades-in-arms and I am not ashamed of it. If I don’t agree with some of his viewpoints, it does not mean I am against the state,” Mikaelyan said.

To note, during the mayor elections in Hrazdan on February 12, the acting Mayor Aram Danielyan got 13,079 votes, Sasun Mikayelyan got 11,506 votes.
