Oil prices fell Friday morning amid signs of efforts to open the Strait of Hormuz.

Brent crude oil futures for May delivery on London’s ICE Futures exchange were at $107.32 per barrel, down $1.33 (1.22%) from the previous close. On Thursday, they had risen $1.27 (1.18%) to $108.65 per barrel.

WTI crude oil futures for April delivery fell $1.71 (1.78%) to $94.43 per barrel in online trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). They had fallen $0.18 (0.19%) to $96.14 a barrel in the previous close. April futures expire at the end of Friday's trading. The more actively traded May WTI futures fell $1.73 (1.81%) to $93.82 a barrel.
