An important thing that everyone should know about. Syunik is not alone, we have taken the issues of illegal, Azerbaijani incursions into Syunik to international platforms. Arman Tatoyan, Head of the “Wings of Unity” Political Initiative and former Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia, announced this on Facebook.

“This time, with the complaints submitted to the UN Human Rights Committee, we have shown that the Azerbaijani armed forces have undermined our security with illegal incursions. With specific cases, we have shown what harm they are causing to people [in Armenia]; people have lost land, are unable to provide for their families’ income and livelihood.

We will constantly make these issues a matter of the international agenda, we will also submit these complaints to international structures from other border settlements [of Armenia]. Armenia needs a leader for whom the interests of Armenia are the first and only [priority], and not one who is guided by foreign influences.

We will raise these issues until we resolve the issues of illegal Azerbaijani incursions [to Armenia] and put an end to them,” Tatoyan added.
