At least 16 cargo ships were completely burnt in US and Israeli strikes on ports in southern Iran, local authorities said, Tasnim News Agency reports.

“At least 16 cargo vessels belonging to citizens of the towns of Bandar Lengeh and Bandar Kong were completely burnt in the fire,” a local official from the southern Hormozgan Province said, Tasnim noted.

It added that these ships were used for trade and played an important role in the lives of local residents, but did not specify when the attack took place.
