Since February 28, following the closure of Kuwaiti airspace, around 33 citizens of the Republic of Armenia contacted the Armenian Embassy requesting repatriation assistance, the spokeswoman for Armenia's Foreign Ministry announced.

The Armenian Embassy in Kuwait assisted 33 Armenian citizens in obtaining Saudi Arabian visas.

Between March 14 and 16, a group of 16 Armenian citizens who had been stranded in Kuwait since February 28 returned to Armenia from Kuwait via flights to Istanbul and Tbilisi, transiting through Hafar Al-Batin airport in Saudi Arabia.

During this period, their accommodation and meals in Kuwait were fully covered by Kuwaiti airline Jazeera Airways, which also organized the return of the Armenian citizens.

On March 17–18, the Armenian Embassy in Kuwait assisted in the return of a further 9 Armenian citizens via the route Kuwait–Riyadh–Tbilisi–Yerevan.

Accompanied by Armenia's Ambassador to Kuwait Arsen Arakelyan, the 9 citizens flew to the Saudi capital Riyadh. Ground transportation was provided free of charge by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia.

Among them was a group of students from Yerevan State University.

One Armenian citizen left Kuwait of their own accord, 2 are planning to return to Armenia, and 5 chose to remain in Kuwait.

Negotiations are underway with Kuwaiti airline Jazeera Airways regarding a direct flight from Saudi Arabia to Tbilisi.
