Iran's central headquarters, "Khatam al-Anbia," has responded to US President Donald Trump's threats to bomb and "destroy" the country's "various power plants" if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened within 48 hours.

"In accordance with previous warnings, if Iran's fuel and energy infrastructure is disrupted by the enemy, all energy, information technology and desalination infrastructure belonging to the US and the regional regime will become a target," the headquarters said in a statement published by the Fars news agency.
