An official spokesman for the Iranian army announced a successful drone strike on Ben Gurion Airport in Israel, according to IRNA.

The operation, he said, involved the use of the advanced "Arash-2" drone.

According to the army's press service, Brigadier General Akraminia noted that the drone has a flight range of approximately 2,000 km and can penetrate enemy radar systems.

He added that the "Arash-2" is a more advanced version of the "Kian" and "Arash-1" drones and is known in Iranian military terminology as the one "that strikes Israel."

Akraminia emphasized that the drone operates with high precision, while its cost is significantly lower compared to other drones and air defense systems. According to the army spokesman, its high production and preparation speed allows such drones to be launched in large numbers at any time.

"The 'Arash-2' drone is produced very quickly, and its preparation and launch speed are extremely high. Therefore, at any moment we decide, we can easily release a large number of such drones," he said.

The army spokesman described Ben Gurion Airport as Israel's largest airport and its main economic artery, stressing that the facility has become an important strike target due to its key role in air trade as well as its military significance.
