Iranian military forces have announced strikes on key US and allied facilities in the region, including Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia and the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
According to a spokesman for the "Khatam al-Anbia" headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the attacks were carried out using missiles and drones. It is claimed that Prince Sultan Air Base hosts American reconnaissance aircraft and is considered an important hub of US military presence. According to the Iranian side, the facility was subsequently struck with ballistic missiles.
In parallel, the Yemeni agency Al Masirah, affiliated with the Houthi movement, reported an attack on an Israeli "aerospace industry center" in the area of Ben Gurion Air Base. According to the source, Arash-2 strike drones were used in the attack.
US and Israeli officials have so far not provided official comments on the incidents.
The situation in the region remains tense, and reports of mutual strikes are heightening fears of further escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.
