Emmanuel Grégoire, candidate of France's left-wing coalition, won the Paris mayoral election, Le Figaro reported on Monday.
Grégoire received 50.52% of the vote.
His main rival, former Culture Minister Rachida Dati, representing the right, finished second with 41.52%. Third place went to the candidate from the far-left party France Insoumise, Sofia Chikirou, who received around 8% of the vote.
Grégoire is 48 years old and served as Deputy Mayor of Paris under Anne Hidalgo from 2018 to 2024.
