Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan is unaware of the Russian side's final decision on restoring railway connections around the Trans-Iranian Passage Project (TRIPP).

Speaking to journalists on March 23, the Minister recalled the Prime Minister's assessment that Armenian railways lose competitiveness if someone does not want to deal with Russia and its assets and chooses to bypass Armenia. "Nobody is hiding this. We want Armenia not to be bypassed, for the railways to be modernized, for the physically absent 2 km of the Gyumri-Kars road to be restored, connected to Turkish railways, and so on. The managing company (SCRC) and the country must make a decision. If they agree — one reality; if not — another reality. The final decision is not known to me," Mirzoyan noted.
