More than 120 cultural and historical heritage sites have been damaged in Iran as a result of airstrikes carried out by the US and Israel against the Islamic Republic. This was reported by the head of the tourism and cultural heritage committee of the Tehran municipal council, Ahmad Alavi.
"According to the latest data, since the beginning of this imposed invasion, more than 120 registered historical monuments across the country have been damaged. 43 of them are located in the city of Tehran, among them the unique Golestan complex, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List," the Mehr news agency quoted him as saying.
