US President Donald Trump told CNN that the Strait of Hormuz "will open very soon," adding that he would like to see this critical shipping route under joint US-Iranian control.
"The Strait will open very soon if negotiations with Iran continue in the normal mode. The management will be joint. And a very serious regime change will occur. Regime change happens automatically," he noted.
