The US Air Force has deployed an additional squadron of 12 F-16 fighters to Ovda Air Base in Israel, according to data from the aviation resource Military Air Tracking Alliance (MATA).

A squadron of 12 American fifth-generation F-22 Raptor fighters is already stationed at Ovda Air Base in Israel.

The American tactical aviation group in the Middle East currently numbers around 250 aircraft. The largest concentration is at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, where numerous squadrons of American combat aircraft are stationed, including F-35A, F-15E, F-16, and A-10. In addition to Israel, fighters are also deployed at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia and aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.

As reported by US Central Command in the Middle East (CENTCOM), American military aircraft have carried out more than 8,000 combat sorties since the start of the operation against Iran.
