Israeli Air Force jets carried out an air raid on Bshamoun, a southeastern suburb of the Lebanese capital, killing at least two people. This was reported by the country's Health Ministry.

"The strike hit a residential building. In addition to the two killed, five more were wounded," the statement reads. "Rescue workers are on the scene, and the number of casualties may rise."

The Israeli Air Force struck seven districts on the southern outskirts of Beirut in the early morning hours. According to the civil defense service, multi-story buildings were destroyed in the neighborhoods of Bir Abed, Bourj el-Barajneh, Kafaat, Ruwais, Saint-Therese, Hadas, and Haret Hreik. Residents received warnings from the Israeli army about the need to evacuate the danger zones that would be bombed.
