The agenda of Turkey's Cabinet of Ministers meeting, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will include questions of Middle East escalation and its consequences for the country, as well as the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and global energy markets. Hurriyet reports that the meeting will take place on March 24 at the Bestepe complex.

The meeting will assess measures taken in connection with Iranian missile strikes that were intercepted in Turkish airspace. Discussion is expected on the current defense infrastructure and the need for additional measures.

Turkey's Cabinet will review the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the possible consequences of its closure for global energy supplies. Additional steps to protect the domestic market from rising global oil prices and ensure price stability will be discussed.

Cabinet members will also be briefed on Turkey's diplomatic efforts to end the war. In particular, a report will be presented on the activities of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who conducted a tour of Gulf states, visiting Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE, as well as holding telephone talks with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi and other international partners.
