Representatives of electoral bodies from 12 countries convened in Yerevan to discuss the 2025 activity report of the World Association of Electoral Bodies (A-WEB).
On March 24, Armenia hosted the 14th meeting of the A-WEB Executive Board, at which a number of issues were discussed, including the 2025 activity report, the activity reports of A-WEB's regional offices, and a report on the resignation of the Secretary-General and the appointment of an acting Secretary-General.
A-WEB is the largest international organization uniting electoral bodies worldwide, comprising 121 electoral management bodies from 111 countries. A-WEB works to promote the effectiveness of free, fair, and transparent elections across the globe.
The Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia has been a full member of the World Association of Electoral Bodies since September 23, 2024. At the organization's 6th Summit, Armenia was elected a member of the A-WEB Executive Board.
