Air raid sirens wailed across large areas of Israel on Wednesday morning after Iran launched several ballistic missiles, causing some damage but no casualties, The Jerusalem Post reports.

A fire broke out near Hadera following reports of what appeared to be missile shrapnel striking the northern Israeli city.

Hadera is located in the Haifa District, between Tel Aviv and Haifa.

Later on Wednesday, the Israel Electric Corporation stated that, despite incoming reports, its infrastructure in the region had not been damaged by the strikes. Shrapnel hits were also reported across the Sharon region.

Magen David Adom said its emergency response teams were dispatched to at least seven locations where shrapnel appeared to have struck across central Israel. No casualties from the Wednesday morning strikes were reported.

Earlier, in northern Israel, air defense forces pursued drones over Upper and Lower Galilee for approximately 30 minutes before they were eventually intercepted.
