Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, has warned that the Israeli army could face collapse if the problem of personnel shortages is not resolved.

“The Israel Defense Forces may soon collapse if a solution is not found to address the shortage of soldiers,” The Jerusalem Post quoted him as saying during a meeting of the Security Cabinet.
