Two groups of protesters have gathered outside a New York courthouse where a hearing is being held in the case of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who was captured by U.S. forces.
One group is demanding Maduro’s release, while the other is calling for a lengthy prison sentence.
Lawyers representing the detained Venezuelan leader plan to petition for all charges to be dropped, arguing that their client is unable to pay for legal services.
