Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Alexander Timan, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Armenia.

As the Prime Minister's press service reports, Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the close cooperation established between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the IMF, as well as the joint programs being implemented in the country, which contribute to the development of various sectors of the economy. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that the funds to be provided under the new IMF-approved program for Armenia will help advance the Government of the Republic of Armenia's reforms.

Alexander Timan highlighted the effectiveness of cooperation with Armenia and noted that the IMF is ready to continue cooperation with a view to the effective implementation of the joint agenda.

The interlocutors discussed issues relating to current cooperation and upcoming programs. Topics covered included ensuring Armenia's economic resilience, development pace, and other matters of mutual interest.
