Discussions on the strategic partnership agreement between Armenia and Iran have been suspended for now. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said this on Sunday, responding to a question from Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“The document is not being discussed at the moment for obvious reasons. A visit was planned, we are not talking about it at the moment,” the Armenian FM added.
In February, the Iranian ambassador to Armenia announced that Armenia and Iran plan to sign a strategic partnership document, presumably during the visit of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Tehran. After that, Pashinyan confirmed that a visit to Iran is planned.
