US President Donald Trump has announced his desire to “taking Iran's oil,” in an interview with the Financial Times.

“Frankly, what I like most is taking Iran's oil. But some stupid people in the United States say, 'Why are you doing that?' They are stupid people,” the American leader said.

Also, he did not rule out the seizure of Kharg island, a major Iranian oil export hub in the northern Persian Gulf.

Trump believes that the Islamic Republic does not have the strength to defend the island, and the United States can “very easily” take control of it.

The US leader noted that during military operations in the Middle East, American forces have already bombed 13,000 targets, of which about 3,000 remain.
