Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei called the inaction of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and its director general Rafael Grossi, who failed to condemn the US and Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities, regrettable.
"The actions taken by the US and the [Israeli] regime against [Iranian] nuclear facilities are a crime. According to the IAEA charter, these actions are criminal; and the indifference of the IAEA and Grossi is even more regrettable. Once again, a very wrong stance has been chosen; and instead of condemning the aggressors, he [i.e. Grossi] uses expressions in his interviews that only complicate everything," the Iranian MFA spokesperson said during a press briefing.
According to Baghaei, "in such circumstances, the first thing the IAEA should do is condemn the aggression—which we did not see."
