US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has made a new statement regarding Iran.

It is clear that there are people in Iran who are talking to the US in a way that previous Iranian leaders did not talk to the US. They say they are ready to do certain things, and the US needs to see whether or not they can actually do it. The US needs to check that very carefully, Rubio said.

At the same time, they are threatening to establish permanent control over the Strait of Hormuz, as well as to establish a system of charging fees for passage through it. This will not happen. US President Donald Trump has a number of options if he wants to prevent this, added the US Secretary of State.
