Oil prices resumed their increase on Tuesday amid reports that US President Donald Trump wants to end the war with Iran.

On the London ICE Futures exchange, Brent oil futures for May delivery rose by $0.77 (0.68%) to $113.55 per barrel. On Monday, Brent had risen by $0.21 (0.19%) to $112.78 per barrel.

The trading period for May futures ends on Tuesday. The more actively traded June futures rose by $0.25 (0.23%) to $107.64 per barrel.

In online trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), May WTI oil futures rose by $0.18 (0.17%) to $103.06 per barrel. During the previous session, they rose by $3.24 (3.25%) to $102.88 per barrel, the highest level since July 2022.
