Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, sent a letter to Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, pledging the Islamic Republic's continued support for the resistance "against the American-Zionist [i.e. Israeli] enemy," Press TV reports.

"The policy of the Islamic Republic remains to continue to support the resistance against the Zionist and American enemy," Hezbollah said, commenting on the aforesaid message conveyed to Sheikh Qassem by Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei.

The Supreme Leader of Iran noted in his message that this policy is based on the path adopted by the late Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the late Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah.

In his message, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei emphasized that “stability and steadfastness in the fight against the Islamic Ummah’s [i.e. nation] worst enemies, the United States and the Zionist regime, were among the most prominent characteristics of the martyred imam,” referring to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
