YEREVAN. - Hovhannes Dokholyan, 51, who had been sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment, committed suicide in the hospital for convicts on Saturday. Representative of Justice Ministry Gor Glechyan confirmed this information.

As he told the reporter of Armenian News-NEWS.am, the convict committed suicide by electric current. He left a note, saying it is disgusting for him to live.

Dolokhyan was sentenced for murder, inflicting physical injuries and keeping gun illegally.

A criminal case has been launched.
