Armenia has reduced cooperation with Russia on the issue of lifting the transport system blockade and, as a result, faces new serious threats, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said in an interview with TASS.

“In the summer of 2023, we reached an agreement with Azerbaijan on a fundamental agreement on sovereignty, jurisdiction and reciprocity, which the Armenian leadership insisted on. But after doing so, the Armenians stopped communicating with us on the issue of the lifting of the blockade process,” the Russian deputy premier noted. “Later, we read similar wording in the document signed in Washington on August 8, 2025. And what did this lead to? In fact, due to the decision to stop cooperation with our country, Armenia faced new, very serious threats that it had not faced before."
