The Armenian government made a decision at its Cabinet meeting Thursday, according to which an anti-dumping duty was imposed on graphitized electrodes imported from China to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) territory, including Armenia, from January 18, 2026 to January 18, 2031, in the amount of 700 tons per year.

The respective decision by the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission—the executive body of the EAEU—of November 17, 2025 was approved today during the Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.

The decision concerns Chinese-made graphitized furnace electrodes with a diameter of more than 520 mm, but not more than 650 mm or with a cross-sectional area of more than 2,700 cm square but not more than 3,300 cm square. These electrodes are used as conductive materials in electric arc metallurgical furnaces for the smelting of various alloy steels, ferroalloys, non-ferrous metals, and rare metals.

The decision also provides that the anti-dumping duty shall not be levied on graphite electrodes used in furnaces manufactured by Liaoning Dantan New Materials Co., Ltd., if the applicant has a manufacturer's certificate signed by an authorized employee of the relevant manufacturer and stamped by the manufacturer as of the date of registration of the declaration of goods.
