Armenia’s Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant has been taken out of service for five months as of Wednesday. This was announced by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Davit Khudatyan, at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government.
This decision was made within the framework of the program to extend the operation period of the nuclear plant.
“Most likely, our solar plants will produce as much electricity in 2026 as the nuclear power plant will produce,” the minister added.
