US President Donald Trump has also been involved in a major adventurism due to the events unfolding in his country, Iranian ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgholami stated in an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to the Iranian diplomat, although the US president announced during his election campaigns that trillions of dollars were being spent on wars outside his country, he has now betrayed his election promises.

"We hope that this will not last long. But we [i.e. Iran] believe that if this adventurism continues, their country's domestic programs will also face certain problems," the Iranian ambassador stressed.

Shirgholami emphasized that according to international law, Trump's bellicose statements against Iran constitute a war crime. In general, the Iranian ambassador to Armenia notes, attacks on industrial and energy infrastructure are also war crimes; they will remain in history and will require an answer in the future.

“Iran is ready for all scenarios. We have shown our resilience so far, we are ready to continue in the same spirit, and we have already dealt serious blows to both the US and Israel. And the closest allies of the US, both in Europe and in NATO, have expressed the opinion that this is a stupid war, and they are not ready to participate in it,” Khalil Shirgholami said.
