Brent crude oil prices rose on Monday after a long weekend, while the WTI oil futures for immediate delivery traded in the red.

Brent oil June futures on the London ICE Futures stock exchange were trading at $109.77 per barrel, up $0.74 (0.68%) from the previous close.

WTI oil’s May futures fell $0.19 (0.17%) to $111.35 per barrel in online trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).

There were no trading sessions in the US, Europe, and several Asian countries last Friday due to the Easter holidays.

As of Monday, some markets are still closed, which is why trading activity is lower than usual.
