Saudi Arabia's economic losses as a result of US military actions against Iran have exceeded $ 10 billion. This figure includes both lost income and additional costs, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing its own sources.

This economic damage is due to restrictions on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, which negatively affects the amount of oil exports of the kingdom.

In addition, Saudi Arabia's economic losses are associated also with partial military damage caused by Iranian retaliatory strikes, as well as the cancellation of major international events, including the Formula 1.

Against this backdrop, Saudi Arabia’s government and major state-owned companies are reviewing the timeline for implementing large-scale infrastructure projects, including the construction of new skyscrapers, in an effort to cut current spending.

In addition, according to The Wall Street Journal, Saudi Arabia is considering accelerating its defense budget, which would also require reallocation of funds.
