Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, discussing the situation surrounding the regional conflict, a source in the Turkish ministry told TASS.

“Minister Fidan discussed the course of the war and other developments with Araghchi,” the ministry said.

The Turkish foreign minister has repeatedly held talks with his Iranian counterpart in recent days.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a war against Iran. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, came under attack. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a large-scale retaliatory operation, striking Israel. U.S. military facilities in Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia were also targeted.
