Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a phone conversation and exchanged views on recent regional and international developments, as well as on bilateral relations.

In addition, Araghchi and Japan’s Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi also spoke by phone and discussed regional developments.

Araghchi condemned the rhetoric of U.S. officials threatening attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure and warned against the normalization of war crimes and their consequences for the region and the broader international community.

He emphasized that Iran will continue to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity by all means against war and expects all countries to fulfill their obligations to ensure international peace and security, as well as to condemn aggressors.

Japan’s foreign minister expressed his country’s support for ongoing efforts at the regional and international levels to end the war.

He also highly appreciated cooperation with Iran in assisting Japanese citizens residing in the country.
