Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows: (...) The CC [i.e. Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party and its parliamentary faction] elite participated in the Easter service at the Gregory the Illuminator Church [in Yerevan], attempting to show that they are supposedly believers, their fight is not against the [Armenian Apostolic] Church, spiritual values, but against individual clergy.
Our sources say that if the year were not a pre-election year, then [PM Nikol] Pashinyan, like in previous years, would have refused the Easter service this year as well.
An incident was also recorded that day, which although passed unnoticed, according to our information, the authorities mobilized all resources through law enforcement agencies to find the citizen who shouted in the church yard at Anushavan Jamkochyan, who was serving the service: “Shame, traitor.” He is one of the 10 bishops who sided with Pashinyan against the Catholicos [of All Armenians, Karekin II].
The thing is that neither the media nor the cameramen covering Pashinyan captured the brave citizen's face, and now, according to our information, law enforcement agencies have been trying to find out from various editorial offices for several days whether they photographed that brave man and whether they will provide their footage.
