Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, is in an unconscious state; he is receiving treatment in the city of Qom, south of Tehran, according to American and Israeli intelligence reports that were passed on to the leadership of the Gulf countries, The Times reports.

Khamenei's health condition is assessed as severe. According to intelligence services, he is not able to rule Iran.

The Times emphasizes that this is the first time since the start of the American-Israeli military operation against Iran that Khamenei's whereabouts have been revealed.

It was assumed that he was seriously injured as a result of the first strikes on February 28 and has not made public speeches since then.
