More than 22,000 more tourists arrived in Armenia in March of this year, than in the same period last year, reports the Tourism Committee of Armenia.
Accordingly, 152,444 tourists visited Armenia in March 2026. In the same period last year, the number of tourist visits was 129,887.
In March 2026, the most tourist visits to Armenia were recorded from Russia (40%), Georgia (15%), and Iran (8%).
In March 2026, about 60 percent of persons who entered Armenia were men, and the rest were women.
Those who visited Armenia the most were people aged 35-44—31 percent, followed by those aged 25-34—21 percent, and those aged 45-54—17 percent.
A total of 63 percent of tourists arrived in Armenia through Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport—64 percent in 2025, 17 percent through the Bagratashen land border crossing—the same as last year, and 11 percent through the Bavra land border crossing—12 percent in 2025. The number of those arriving in Armenia through the Meghri, Gogavan, and Ayrum border crossings was 1 to 6 percent.
And only 2 percent of tourists arrived in Armenia through Gyumri’s Shirak International Airport—the same as last year.
