Iranians are taking to the streets en masse in support of the authorities and armed forces ahead of the upcoming negotiations with the US over ending the war. Izvestia correspondent Naser Ashkeri reported on the situation in the city of Bushehr on April 11, noting that locals are actively discussing the announced ceasefire and its terms.

"This ceasefire came at the request of the United States of America and with the acceptance of 10 conditions put forward by the Islamic Republic. If they are not accepted, the ceasefire will not be recognized, and until the end of the war the people of Iran will stand alongside their armed forces," the correspondent said.

He added that many Iranians remain skeptical of the agreement and continue to demonstrate their support for the state.
