The United States will resume strikes on Iran if negotiations in Islamabad over ending the war collapse, US President Donald Trump said on April 11.

Speaking with Newsmax journalist Kelly Mayer, he noted that he does not know how today's consultations with Tehran will conclude. When asked whether he has hope, Trump stated his readiness to "act."

"It doesn't matter [how the talks go] — otherwise we'll resume [strikes on Iran]. We are ready to act," the journalist quoted Trump as saying on her X page.
