Oil prices rose slightly on Wednesday morning. This followed a sharp decline in Tuesday’s trading session, which was due to hopes for a de-escalation of the situation in the Middle East.
On the ICE Futures exchange in London, the price of Brent crude oil futures for June delivery rose by $0.85 (0.9%) to $95.64 per barrel. On Tuesday, it had fallen by $4.57 (4.6%) to $94.79 per barrel.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), WTI crude oil futures for May delivery rose by $0.20 (0.22%) to $91.48 per barrel in online trading. In Tuesday’s session, they had dropped by $7.80 (7.87%), reaching $91.28 per barrel.
