Azerbaijan imports goods from Armenia for first time, deal amounts to $960

Azerbaijan imported goods from Armenia for the first time in the first quarter of 2026.

The value of the deal amounted to $960, according to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani media report.

No details were reported on the type of goods.

The trade between the two countries, however, is highly disproportionate. During the aforesaid period, Azerbaijan exported products worth $5.76 million to Armenia. In particular, Armenia purchased diesel fuel and wheat from the neighboring country; the last railcars loaded with Azerbaijani diesel recently arrived in Armenia.
